Meru Networks and Aircell Transform Inflight Connectivity 35,000 Ft. in the Air

This partnership transforms the passenger's inflight microcell wireless experience to a more predictable and reliable service with Meru's virtualized wireless solution. Today, over 35 aircrafts are already equipped with Meru's virtualized wireless solution and this will expand to several hundred by the end of the year. Passengers will now be able to experience connectivity 35,000 feet in the air that is as dependable as a wired internet service on the ground.


SGIA Hotel offers Meru Networks Wi-Fi solution to the guests

Meru Networks WLAN solution, offered by CableNet, started to be operational at Sabiha Gokcen International Airport Hotel inside the new terminals opened in October 2009. The five floor hotel has 130 rooms and Wi-fi coverage is being offered throughout the building.

Attendees at the 2009 National Football League Draft on April 25-26 were able to access the Internet, transmit news stories, photos and video footage, update web pages and more using a high-speed Meru Networks 802.11n wireless LAN specially deployed for the event at New York's Radio City Music Hall.

The WLAN was installed by New York City-based communications services provider Transbeam, a longtime provider of networking services at the landmark Radio City Music Hall, to support those following the NFL teams' selection of this year's newly eligible football players. Team affiliates, event organizers, journalists from media such as the New York Times and ESPN, and other attendees were online simultaneously, with each Meru wireless access point supporting up to 100 clients.



CableNet's WLAN SOLUTION AT SABIHA GOKCEN AIRPORT

CableNet has been awarded to install the largest WLAN in Turkey at Sabiha Gokcen Airport’s New Terminal Buildings with Meru Networks’ solution. Around 400 pieces of 802.11b/g/(n upgradable) Access Points and the Controller unit with redudancy will be used. Meru Virtual Cell enables APs to operate on a single channel, creating a single contiguous zone of coverage versus individual islands of coverage as in legacy Wi-Fi systems. This will allow the Meru WLAN System to manage activities such as client handoffs, load-balancing and failover. It will eliminate complex RF site surveys, maximizes flexibility (i.e., moves/adds/changes do not require channel planning), and enables seamless mobility across APs. Because of Meru Networks’ “Virtual Port” functionality all data and voice services at the Airport will be transmitted without any disruption and degradation. Meru Networks Teams With T-Mobile USA To Give Enterprise Customers Seamless Mobility Between Cellular and Wi-Fi Networks

T-Mobile USA, Inc., and enterprise wireless LAN vendor Meru Networks have teamed up to bring fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) to enterprise customers, using unlicensed mobile access (UMA) technology to let users of T-Mobile devices roam between outdoor cellular infrastructures and indoor Wi-Fi networks without experiencing any interruption to their calls .

T-Mobile has joined Meru's WINS (Wireless Interoperability and Network Solutions) Partner Program, and the two companies have completed interoperability testing of UMA-equipped T-Mobile devices with Meru enterprise WLANs. The testing verified seamless "handoffs" between Meru WLANs and the T-Mobile cellular network. The companies have also agreed to conduct joint marketing and sales activities.

Argesoft Chose CableNet for remote office voice connection

Argesoft, one of the Turkey's leader software houýses decided to use AVAYA IP OFFICE products for the connection of their new remote office in Fethiye, Turkey.
